Making Mac Your Business the “dude you’re getting a dell” dude
Apr 25

sorry about the no new podcast in a while. everyone has been busy doing something. Kenji is on the right coast. Ben is upgrading some code. Craig is getting a new jorb. And John is galavanting about the west coast working on something fun. it all boils down to not much time for any of us to make a useful recording. it’s not like there isn’t lots to talk about. like for example:

G4 NAS drive part 2
getting Back to my Mac to actually work
Print to the Internet
ZFS one year later
and more coding, server and hacking stuff.

With the WWDC just a month away we’ll also start planning the who where for pinning down experts that might be attending the week of geek. anyway don’t hold your breath. it won’t be until the middle of the week at least until there’s a new conversation. in the mean time make a back up of your doorbell (aka phone) or learn to sync it so it’s done automagically.

see you on the other side… OWT!

Coding, eh? Interesting….i’ll keep my feed reader checking in….

Have you ever thought of making more blog posts, rather than just keeping the site as a ledger for shownotes?

  2. macbreaktech Says:

we thought about it. but there are SOOOO many other blog blogs that it doesn’t seem like we’d contribute anything more to the fray. there was a discussion about doing more group projects in the open. if we do that it can’t be in a blog kind of format. and a forum doesn’t seem to work for those kinds of things… something more like active collab or it’s OSS version would be more appropriate.

What you need is the new awesome wiki feature ins OS X Leopard server, but thats WAY too expensive. Just a thought, because, i still think that people would check in regularly if there were cool blog posts with the macbreak-tech spin on them, the whole no-holes-barred completely open, idea, is really cool….

    Hey MacBreak Tech Crew!

I just wanted to say that I love the show and can’t wait for the next podcast. I can’t get enough! I’ve been a long time Mac user (about 18 years), and consider myself to be quite the Mac geek, but your show has really taken that to the next level! You guys have really motivated me to explore new things and learn more about stuff that I take for granted because Apple has made it so easy or have overlooked it’s hidden power. I also enjoy the in-depth look at configuration like, AirPort Utility, Back-o-matic, ABGN and ZFS. Anyway, thanks for doing this show and please keep it up!

Hey guys, there isn’t a contact address that I could see, but I wanted to say that my MacBreak Tech feed in iTunes just turned into an Inside the Black Box feed! Is MBT going away or is this a configuration error? Please allay my fears!

  6. macbreaktech Says:

there is a CONTACT button right next to HOME and ABOUT.

  7. Greg Perham Says:

I’m looking forward to those new shows, for sure, but, umm…what happened to the feed? I’ve now got a subscription to Inside the Black Box where MBT used to be!

  8. Shash Says:

Well, at least we know that 2 more shows are on the way. I’m hoping very soon, maybe today, maybe tomorrow, maybe another day, but SOON. I would mention the obvious source on where i, and probably every other listener, found this out, but i would hate to be the first person to mention it in macbreak tech land….
