Never mind. Got it. Thanks for the link to the Official driver. Worked fine on the newest Leopard. Printer did not print initially. Thank you to macbreaktech from last January. Hold down the printer green button to get the printer's ip address. It was one digit off of the address that the computer was finding on the Linksys wifi. Now it works, through my linksys wifi, no wires. Thank you.

I run 10.4.11. I have followed all the instructions given and have successfully downloaded the driver and it works. I selected the 250 sheet feeder after adding the new printer, as suggested, and am trying to make special setups for printing from the 1320c but it persistes in printing from the manual feed and in the print dialog box under Printer Features the option to use Auto or 250 sheet tray are grayed out and I cannot select them. Any suggestions?

I got it going on Leopard using the Windows option in the Add Printer dialogue. I used the FX driver as the Official Dell driver seems to have disappeared off the ftp server.. It works fine with the FX driver but would like to use the "official" one if possible. The link is still there on the Dell site, however, it Anyone know an alternative source for downloading? ... Hmm weird.. I just tried it again there and it downloaded fine.. Their ftp server must have fallen over or something.. Works great..

So after all that, what I wanted to say was thank you very much for this info, I had to pdf everything and send it to my windows machine to print, was a right pain.. Very happy now!! Thanks again.

If, like me, you have been going crazy because you could not find the "Printer Features" option printing from Firefox (ver 3), just issue the Print command from Safari or Word and you will be able to access it and save the profile after selecting the 250-page tray. The profile can then be used in firefox without any problems.

first of all i am very happy you are in existence
i have a mac os x 10.5.2 trying to print on a dell color laser 1320c
i've tried the steps you listed- the printer starts up, but then the job either disappears from the list after a second or two or automatically goes on 'pause' although i keep clicking on the 'resume' button.

these specific steps? no. that printer looks like a rebadged Lexmark. so that would be your first place to look. I don't have one of these printers. and unless Dell sends us one for whatever reason I don't have access to one for hacking.
